5th grade instrumental rotation
and 6th grade band
All 5th grade students try out a variety of instruments through their fifth grade year at their elementary schools
In 6th grade students take either instrumental music (band or orchestra), or they may choose choir
Students with instruments begin by learning how to assemble and care for their instruments
The musicians learn Hot Cross Buns and progress to more complicated tunes
Jazz Band is offered as an extracurricular option for 6th graders at the Middle school
